Accommodation in the Himalayas
Accommodation in the Himalayas depends upon the region and trail you are trekking on. The famous Everest region and the Annapurna region have a wide range of lodges and teahouses (luxury to budget-friendly). Moreover, these two regions have the most modern facilities and services.
Other regions like Kanchenjunga, Manaslu, Upper Mustang, Dolpo, Helambu, Langtang, etc have very basic accommodation facilities. Some of the trails also require camping.
On average, the lodge or teahouse along the trekking trail in the Himalayas offers twin shared rooms with an attached/common washroom. The rooms are small in size with a handful of furniture. With the increase in altitude, the accommodation will get very basic.
